Help keep the Flying Doctor flying! I’m raising funds so the Royal Flying Doctor Service can respond at a moment’s notice for people living, working, and travelling in remote, rural and regional areas in Australia.
Last year alone, the RFDS reached more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary health care. That’s one person every two minutes!
The Flying Doctor is always on call to help and save lives, and that’s why I’m asking you to chip in to and help the RFDS to provide the finest care to the furthest corner.

Why I'm Supporting the Flying Doctor
For 90 years, the Royal Flying Doctor Service (South Eastern Section) has been a lifeline for the people of outback and regional NSW; the same people I proudly represent every day in Parliament.
Barwon is an extraordinary electorate. At 356,292 square kilometres, it covers 44.5% of New South Wales, in some towns there are no GPs, and there are few places where women can reliably give birth,life expectancy is lower here than in regional NSW, and it is exactly the kind of place that inspired Reverend John Flynn to create the RFDS back in 1928, and it is exactly the kind of place the RFDS continues to serve every single day. In fact, 52% of all RFDS services in New South Wales are delivered right here in Barwon.
The RFDS does fantastic work in Barwon, and more widely across the West and Far West of NSW; building the infrastructure, recruiting the staff, and reaching the most remote corners of our state. And they do it extraordinarily well, transforming health outcomes for the communities I call home.
This April, I'm honoured to be driving a leg of the Lighting the Way Flare Relay, a journey from Sydney to Broken Hill, stopping along the way in communities that know firsthand just how vital the RFDS is. Through this journey, I’ll be celebrating nine decades of this uniquely Australian, iconic institution and shine a light on the vital work that must continue for the next hundred years.
