About Car612
Car612 was founded in memory of our son, Oliver Martin, who tragically lost his life in an accident. While nothing can ever replace Oli, we chose to honour his life by creating something positive from our loss and celebrating the joy, spirit and memories he brought to our family and friends.
Through Car612, our team raises funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) through initiatives such as our annual Fundraiser Lunch and vehicle sponsorship activities. Supporting the RFDS allows us to help an organisation that provides a vital lifeline to Australians living, working and travelling in remote, rural and regional communities.
Every day, the Flying Doctor responds to emergencies and delivers essential healthcare where it is needed most. By supporting the RFDS, we hope to play a small part in helping save lives, assisting those facing serious injury or illness, and ensuring critical care reaches people regardless of where they are.
For our team, fundraising is about more than giving back. It is also part of how we honour Oli's legacy and navigate the ongoing impact of losing him. Knowing that our efforts may help another family in their time of need gives purpose to our journey and keeps Oli's memory alive in a meaningful way.
