Help me raise funds to keep the Royal Flying Doctor flying.

I will be attempting to cycle across Australia, leaving Fremantle, Western Australia on March 15, 2025 and cycling across the Continent, to the Sydney Opera House, arriving approximately mid May 2025. I’m doing this to raise funds so the Royal Flying Doctor Service can respond at a moment’s notice for people living, working, and travelling in remote, rural and regional areas in Australia.

Last year alone, the RFDS reached more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary health care.

The Flying Doctor is always on call to help and save lives, and that’s why I’m asking you to chip in to and help the RFDS to provide the finest care to the furthest corner.

One month to go, I'd better start some training

Out on a hot say..36°C, 60% humidity, 33kg velomobile... I  need coffee,  cake, and a selection of other junk foods.🍩🍔

Getting 'stuff' done....

Only a few weeks to go before I start riding. Time to go through the inventory and obtain, replace, update a few of the camping items for those nights in the bush....and maybe a training ride ..or two.  I hope the budget holds.

A bit warm out

25km goods finding ride for IPWR '25/ RFDS fund-raiser. 36°C in Perth...a bit warmer in the cockpit. Time for a cool down 🍺

Afternoon tea

70km training ride to get the body conditioned to pushing a fully loaded velomobile again.

Wheel dip. Indian Ocean....

Game on.... final day of preparation before the "Grand Départe" ... just have to load in supplies and get a decent night's sleep. #excited

Provide a full range of life saving medication such as sedatives, pain relief and antibiotics so the Flying Doctor can be ready for 18 emergency situations.

Send 9 life saving-medical chest to remote communities

Provide one on one counselling to 6 outback Australians during a difficult time

Purchase 3 pieces of equipment that could include ventilators, defibrillators and infusion pumps which are used on board flights
